Great time to buy if you can find this deal -- $14/gal.
But, is this going obsolete? Is it being replaced?

Well, I've never had a dino oil-related failure.

I used synthetic oil in a 3.1 GM engine for 25k of the 97k I owned the car . Switch to blended for all those other miles. The car went 177k before it was wrecked by the second owner and it still didn't use oil or have any engine problems. While I had it I did 6k changes and the 2nd owner used dino at 3k intervals. No problem with Synthetic or blended with extended changes and no dino related issues with regular maintenance.

It's a 5q jug, right? It a premium product, well worth the $15. Oil cos are getting into GF-5 spec..
so a lot of products and formula are changing, a good time to stock-up.
