Default cant bet bolt to loosen on viscus fan even with using special tool

the 3212 chopsticks.. and a bfwrench.. yes i am turning it clockwise or to the right.. any suggestions? i pb blasted it last night and just tried again.. i dont recall it being this tough when i did my 12v a few years ago.. btw its a 2.8 30v

I have found that a good/quick air impact tool will break these stubborn nuts because they start to turn so quickly. Try one if you have the room to get one in, no promises but it works fairly often.

Isn't there a place where you can "jam" the pulley with a screwdriver like on the 12 valve?

its the nut that holds the viscus fan clutch to the pully not what holds it onto the frame..

well yes and no.. i tried that but started breaking away the under casting when using edges here and there.. and with the special tool.. it would not budge at all.. i even tried some heat and pb blaster..i will try this again .. its just frustrating ..

update.. with using the old 12v method as AudiMick mick mentioned i got it off.. but wow it was tough..
