Default can anyone help me with an airfilter question

check this out...i am going to change my filter on my audi a4. which one should i change to a k and n filter cartridge or a AMT filter cartridge. i heard these filter are better than istalling a brand new air filter from lltek or greddy... please can anyone give me some feedback... thanks alot i would really appreciate it. i don't want to waste too much money on installing a whole new filter system.

Default Also consider sticking with stock....

As you continue your research, you will find some references to aftermarket filters letting larger dirt particles through.

Default Actually stock is probably best unless you exceed 350hp...

It keeps out more dust, an enemy of your turbo and flows the same up to a point.

Default Re: can anyone help me with an airfilter question

i am probably sticking with the stock filter system. what filter cartridge is best for the stock filter. k and n filter or Amt filter. both these filters offer more horsepower to the engine. they told me it gets more cool air in the stock filter. help please. the amt filter cost more than the k and n but price is no option.. thanks

Default just get the K&N drop in filter......its more economical

I had the cone on my old car and it ran tooo hot at times, but it did give me more hp, which is good.

but you can t go wrong with a K&N drop in filter.

the cone does give you more sound if thats what your looking for.

Default DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO BUY A REMOTE TRANSMITTER FOR A 96 A4

I LOST MY TRANSMITTER FOR MY CAR. IS THERE ANYWHERE I COULD BUY ONE WITHOUT BUYING IT FROM THE DEALER. THE DEALER CHARGES 105 BUCKS JUST FOR THE REMOTE PLUS 105 AN HOUR TO PROGRAM IT. I KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM THE REMOTE FROM THIS SITE BUT DON'T HAVE THE REMOTE.. MIND YOU THE 96 REMOTE IS NOT THE SWITCH BLADE KEY REMOTE. HELLLLLPPPP!!!!

Default

My major concern with K&N filters - the oil dispersing off & mucking up the MAF sensor
