If you researched, you'd know that the Audi recommended TB change interval of 120K miles (for 2001 1.8T) doesn't mean squat. If you had searched the archives, you'd find numerous cases of failed TB/tensioners at around 60-80K miles, even on 2000 and 2001 A4s. If you have AudiAssured warranty up to 100K miles, then fine - they'll fix it when it creates major engine damage. If you have original warranty that ends at 50K miles and are willing to take that risk, then...

Personally, I couldn't care less if and when you change your TB. It's not my car and not my money. But please don't drag others into this money pit with you, because the risk is high.
