Default brake problem... i need help!

so the beginning of the problem dates back to sometime in the end of spring/beginning of summer. i had my brake pads replaced because of its normal wear. not a problem. but for some reason, soon after it was replaced, the brake began to make squeaking noise.. so i brought the car back to the same guy. he said that the pads are fine but it was my rotor that was causing the problem. he said the edges of my rotor was too rough and worn out, and that was causing the noise every time the brakes were applied. his explaination sounded fair enough to me. so he actually shaved off a thin layer of my rotor to smoothen the whole surface out. the noise problem went away for about 2 minutes. with no exaggeration.

so the next day, i took my car to another guy. he's actually the regular guy that i go to. the guy before is a friend of my dad's. my dad wanted to give him some business since he had just opened up his garage at the time. anyway. my regular guy didnt see a problem with my rotors. he also saw that my pads were new. after driving the car around, he just took the whole brake system apart and lubricated all the necessary parts. the problem was gone!!! for about 2~3 weeks only though...

now my passenger side brake (the sames one) only makes the squeaking noise every time when i make somewhat of a sudden stop and the noise continues thereafter. but after some time, the noise would disappear. i dont know that to do. i have a full time job so taking a car and leaving it at the shop overnight really isnt easy for me. please give me some help. thanks guys!

Default Did you put brake sqeak goop on the back of the pads and that pin?

That killed the squealing for me.

Just live with it. It probally would go away after some break-in activity.

Default Anti-squeal goop. Just go to any auto-store and ask for them.

I got them at Autozone, IIRC. It's cheap and dries to a rubbery substance. Apply some on the back of the pads and the pin.

Default sounds like you bought some cheap pads, this is a big NO-NO

Did breaks several different makes and models of vehicles over the years.

Don't cheap out on break parts.

It's more important to be able to stop than it is to GO!
