Default is this normal?

hey audi world! well let me begin by saying that i am a "NOOB" and
yesterday i bought my first audi(2.8 fwd) and i love it! anyways... my question is,today when starting my car, i noticed that i didnt have to hold down the clutch to start the car!!! is this noraml?????? any help would be great and thanks for being supportive!!!!

Yes it is normal if you have a 96-97 A4.

Funny thing, they to have a twin clutch sensor, but one of the switches doesn't do anything. 1. Goes to ECU for cruise control, 2. Goes to the same place but does absolutely nothing.

(Yea I have a 96 A4, and same thing.)
