Its been my past experience with cars that have this type of e-brake set-up in the rear, they typically fail before 100k. I hear you, the timing is usually never great. If and when your doing rear brakes, you can usually tell if those rear caliper are starting to go. They have a tendency to bind up more then usual. Its then tough to get the caliper piston to screw back into its base position. Best of luck.

But a nut and bolt with the banjo washers might seal.

Default I have a brand new "black" driver side rear caliper

got the set from carson. thought my levers were bad. turned out to be the hand brake cable freezing.
