Default Brake feel went from firm to mush in about 5 miles.

Lost most of my brake fluid by the time I noticed anything was even wrong. Pulled over and my RR is dripping. Looks like it's leaking from where hose connects into rear caliper.

****e! Any suggestions? Going to attempt to tighten now.

Replace the hose if it is that... Maybe its just a crush washer.

Default Update, it is coming from around the parking brake spring. No idea how it is getting

there. Looks like it is coming from the place almost directly behind the piston. Didn't know there was a place for it to leak there. Hose and crush washer look to be fine.

Confused and all junkyards are closed tomorrow ftl.

I am currently running without my ABS module while it is being repaired. Could that have led to my caliper's early demise?

Is there any way to clamp the line / stop the bleeding? I need my car

Default Many hours North of you...

...Vermont ftl.

This is a really strange occurrence and very sudden. The brakes were terrific this morning.

Yeah, Vermont can be as close as an hour and a half, or as far as 5 hours.

You can clamp off the line with vice grips, but you will want to replace the line.

Damn, was hoping there would be an appropriate threaded "end cap" I could buy somewhere.

Default a comment.....

Sounds like its coming time for new rear calipers. They are not terribly robust in design. I replaced the pair on the 30v awhile back along with all the hoses. They were not very pricey if memory serves me.
There is tendency with those calipers back to corrode up, bind, and leak.
Regards

Default a response....

Yeah, I think you may be right. I just replaced my pads and rotors about 2 months ago though and had to replace a front caliper and multiple caliper slides back at that time. I wish I knew this was coming... the parts yards are closed tomorrow.

The timing just isn't great, but is it ever?
