Default So I installed my vvme HID kit tonight...

thought I'd post how I ended up strapping the ballast down.
Found some stainless steel straping tape that I bended to form around the ballast. Drilled holes in the tape and screwed it into the OEM holes.
Then I rounded off the edges to be sure I wouldn't cut my hands on it.

I'm still debating whether or not I should do two for each ballast but it seems the stay in place for now.

Default That should work fine.

I used 3M exterior mounting tape #4011, and lots of GE silicone to seal everything up.

Default What housings are you guys using? Halogen Projector or HID Projector?

I got my kit but still need to order housings.

Currently I have the old 2-piece housings with the integrated fogs (non-projector).

Default My guess Home Depot

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/70024/hid_insta_002.jpg"></center><p>Found some in the basement but here's what it looks like.
It's fairly thin but strong and easy to work with.
