Bearing whirring noise from alternator area. Alternator or fan clutch???

Default How hot should alt. get? Mine was very hot when going back to spray 2nd time.

And it was sitting for a good 1.5 to 2 hours.
Very hot to touch.

Default BINGO... that is your culprit. the winding themselves will cause some

heat, but not excessive. If the bearing are bad you get mucho heat.

Hi I have the exact same problem on my 2.0 tdi s line 170. Did you manage to resolve this? Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!
