Bad experiences w/ Warrantybynet.com (long vent)
So last week, I casually surf onto their website to check and see if I can get a quote on my car so I can get an idea of how much an extended warranty is going to cost, but since then, they've had a salesman who has been incredibly rude and "pushy" selling the me. The guy doesn't even know what the heck he's talking about. He starts babbling about how a "quattro engine" is high maintainance and stupid crap like that. He doesn't even know my car is AWD and thinks that quattro is a type of engine. What an idiot! He gets noticeably upset on the telephone when I tell him I need time to make my decision and has the worst attitude I've ever heard from a salesman. Their plan does seem to be very extensive, but are there any other alternatives? I would definitely pay a higher premium for a place with better customer service and attitude. That's about it. Thanks for your time.

I've had great experiences with WarrantyDirect.com with...
...a previous car. They are a real company, and I had no trouble with the two claims I placed.
Just be sure that you read and abide by whatever terms you end up with, regardless of the company.

I have a warrantybynet warranty and had the complete opposite experience.
The girl i spoke with was very nice and informative and really helped me out with all my questions. I think you just got a bad rep is all...

Yeah, they're pretty pushy with the sales
I filled out an online form for a quick quote and foolishly used my real cell # and my real email. They called & spamming me for quite some time after. They finally stopped calling when I asked them to stop, and thank god for that "block sender" option on Hotmail!

Well ya, if you have the warranty then the sales guy isn't going to call. I asked about a warranty on a potential purchase, and they called me for 2 months to see if I wanted to sign up to protect my new Audi. Didn't have one. Now I do, and they're not involved.
