If you don't have an informative answer don't reply.
I STFA and the only responses said don't use it because its not oem or said they had no problems with it. Neither answer tells my why I should or shouldn't use this filter.

What makes them better quality?
I found this study:
http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfilterstudy/oilfilterstudy.html
I'm not seeing the oem filter listed. But I am seeing that the napa filter has a thinner shell, and a paper filter media compared to the M1 filter (which seems to be acceptable to AW). Is this the only difference? Do you have links to any other studies?

My dealer isn't convenient to get to and...
I don't like doing business with them. The napa filter is convenient for me to get. So that's why I'm trying to find out if it is a good alternative. Cost isn't part of the equation. But i do like the fact that oem is $9 for me and napa is $6.

we all pretty much order online and avoid stealerships at all cost
this is one of many sites that have great prices on oem parts and have free shipping<ul><li><a href="https://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/lookup_parts.cfm?SubcategoryID=5340&VehicleID= 1352494&CFID=400027&CFToken=22588539">http s://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/lookup_parts.cfm?SubcategoryID=5340&VehicleID= 1352494&CFID=

I haven't found any place online that has filters for
the AHA engine cheaper than I can get them locally. And I'd rather not be buying $50 in oil filters to get free shipping.
I was just hoping to find some more substantial answer to the which is better question. I know it comes up a lot. The studies that I have found say that the Mann have the best construction but say nothing of the filtration ability. I did find a toyota site that compared the filtration and Mann was acceptable but towards the bottom, Champion labs(used in Mobil 1)made filters being at the top. From the limited info on Mann's website, it seems that the filter used varies depending on car manufacturer specs. So unless someone specifically compares the filtration of ours to the other filters out there, i'm not gonna get my answer.
