again with the low boost Melted EVAP check valve
Trying to repair until I get a new one. The EVAP check valve near the airbox looks like somebody held a torch to it. There are holes in it that i patched with JB Weld, but no indication why it melted. It was not in direct contact with anything producing such heat, and no other plastic around it was damaged. Maybe it started as a crack and hot turbo air slowly blew it apart? Anybody have any idea why? What stock boost pressures do you guys get at low air temp ~15-20 F? Thanks.

that's their ghey list price. if you shop around, you can get it for $12
I wanted it asap and didn't want to pay shipping so I grabbed one at a local VW stealership knowing full well that I was over paying.
