Hi Folks,

I was wondering if anyone new if its possible to allow access to the boot from the rear seats on a '98 A4 saloon.

It has the arm rest on the back seat, and from what I can see there is a section of the steel in the boot that looks precut with just a few mm's of connection at various points around the square.

I was thinking of cutting that square of metal out, and the same bit of fabric in the seats to make a hole to pass stuff through, such as when carrying long poles.

Has anyone done this and is there parts available to make it look tidier when done?

Many A4s had the option for a pass-through in the middle. It's designed for skis.
