Default ABS ECU Rebuild Recomendations

So busy weekend planned. Finally got VAG-COM and confirmed the ABS unit is incommunicado. The two places I'm looking at for rebuild are Module Masters in Moscow, Idaho and Auto Electronics in Rogersville, Tennessee.

http://www.modulemaster.com
http://www.autoecu.com

MM is closer to Seattle, so shipping would be quicker for less and I've seen the recommended on this forum, but AutoECU's rebuild is less expensive (about $100 vs $160), they offer a longer warranty (lifetime vs 5-yr), and cover return shipping costs.

My pocket-book says go with AutoECU. Anybody have any bad experiences and/or recommendations for either?

Hmm, may have found a partial answer on this one.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2755643.phtml

Looks like the same company (ATE) who has since moved. Most of the negative posts are pretty old, but having not seen bad new on the MM front...my decision may be made.

Input from others still appreciated.

Default I used http://www.bba-reman.com

They were quick and I have not had a problem in the ~year since I had it fixed.

Default I used BBA through an eBay purchase.

It was a bit of a PITA to:

1) jack up car, remove wheel, remove wheel liner, unscrew module, secure/cover assembly, replace wheel liner, replace wheel, unjack car

2) mail in module

3) get rebuilt unit

4) jack up car, remove wheel, remove wheel liner, screw module on, replace wheel liner, replace wheel, unjack car

5) note that ABS light was still on

6) jack up car, remove wheel, remove wheel liner, unscrew module, secure/cover assembly, replace wheel liner, replace wheel, unjack car

7) contact BBA regarding warranty

8) pay my own shipping to mail it back to them (this ticked me off)

9) wait

10) receive re-rebuilt unit

11) jack up car, remove wheel, remove wheel liner, screw module on, replace wheel liner, replace wheel, unjack car

12) ABS light finally gone

...... I'd still recommend them, though.

I like them too. They are in Mass, though, so he might be better off with MM.

Had heard of BBA too from the audifans list. Their price is a little better than MM, but I think unless I hear something terrible about MM, I'll probably go with them.

Also couldn't help but notice an audiworld poster proffering repair services too.

You won't hear anyone complain about either one, and MM is much closer to you.
