...about to pull the trigger on Vogtland Club Spec Springs....

you must not understand how spring rates work....
I also remember some folks saying that about a high-bias center diff...but I hardly think gapping a Mini-S on Kumho v710 r-compound rubber by half-second when we were nuts even prior to that would be "placebo"

"real" cost of doing that event is WAAAYYY more than $299
gas up, gas there, gas back, need new set of tires when I get back, new brake pads, etc, etc. Need I go over this again?

not making that jump 'till Tracksports are feasible...
besides...I didn't see you running quicker than me way back in the day when we did that autocross event w/the Porsche club...and you had c/o's... (not that I know what I"m doing behind the wheel or anything). I like how the bilsteins dampen, I just need a little more spring rate in the back, and that's exactly what the Vogt's will get me (and with a linear spring too).

Nawww....its not that bad.
If you have a dedicated set of track tires like me, you use maybe 1 set per year. I was at 4 events this year and still have life left in my Hankook Z211 DOT R-comps. I also have dedicated brake pads for the track as well.
Just MHO, but you haven't lived in a car 'till you've been on a dedicated race track with it. :-)
