So Carorder delivered my new baby on Thursday, and the wife and I finally head out to the Sierras for a good drive. I'm sitting at a stoplight when clueless woman behind me kisses the bumper. She actually wouldn't stop, and we had to chase her down. She claimed she didn't think that we had touched. Her license plate screws gouged two little holes in my pristine bumper. 3 lousy days! To top it off, she is driving a rental because she is having body work done on her car (go figure).
I am still amazed at how competent and quiet this car is. I did exhaustive research prior to buying and knew exactly what I was purchasing, but there is truly something magical about this little car. These little holes will not ruin it for me.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. A few months ago, I also got rear ended, and the person's front license screws gouged two holes in my rear bumper... the cost to fix was ~$1k (they replaced the rear bumper), so I'd suggest you should probably go through insurance for this. Good luck!

I've had my A4 now for about 2 months, and already have found 3-4 marks from those without painted bumpers... each time I see a nick, it makes me cringe, so I feel your pain...

Bummer.... *sigh*... negligent drivers with no appreciation for works of art....

before I got hit, did $1K damage (and that was just the muffler and having the rear bumper repainted).
