I have a 2012 A$ Black Edition and an ipod touch 5th gen with the lighting connector. I also have the Apple 30pin to 8 pin connector cable to connect to the cars 30pin docking socket. When I initially connect this setup to the car all is OK. My problem is when I leave the car for about 20 minutes and try the ipod again I get all my playlists etc. on the car display but the sound does not come from the car but via the ipod built in speakers. In order to get it working properly I need to disconnect the ipod from the car and reconnect to get it. The time out on the ipod is set to never

Try posting this in the B8 forum.

I think you'll find B5 predates the iPod and certainly had no connectivity (1994-2002)...


PS. If you're using an earlier generation (Honeycomb or before) Android device, you can stop it giving you '$' instead of '4' etc by touching out of the text box, then touching back in...
