Default 99' Preventive maintenance

85k. AEB Tiptronic

I am thinking about replacing the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Are they prone to burst on our cars?

Thinking about doing the timing belt while I am at it.
Last TB job was 4 yrs ago (but only managed to put on less then 20k in 4 yrs).

Currently in the process of overhauling the PCV system:
ECS Crankcase Breather Hose Refresh Kit (dog leg hose...etc)
W0133-1627917 Engine Crankcase Vent Valve (034 puck valve)
058133753B Suction Jet Pump
035103245A Pressure Control Valve
058905291K Check Valves
06B133783BC Vacuum Hose/Line; Intake Manifold to Suction Pump
also:
8D0121403L Expansion Tank/Coolant Reservoir; With Level Sensor

I had 270,000 on my 96 A4, I have 160,000 on my 99. Never had one burst.

Don't bother with the TB yet. It's only 4 yrs.

Inspect rad hoses. If they're not cracked, they're fine.

What I would do is replace the transmission oil. Properly. Which means a shop that knows what it's doing (measuring oil level when the transmission temp reaches 35C).

Flush your coolant (with G12 of course) and your brakes when you do them next.

Is there a consensus on timing belt replacement interval, time-wise, for low mileage 1.8Ts?
Audi only provides a mileage based recommendation.
I got nervous when approaching 5 yr. Last two TB job was on done on 4th and 8th yr mark.
A little over kill, maybe?
