Default Oil choices?

Hi guys. I’m picking up my new 2020 A4 Premium plus Allroad on Tuesday. Terra Gray/ Okapi brown/black oak. Cold weather, warm weather, B&O, Nav. This car was headed towards another dealer and was stuck in port. My local dealer traded for it and it’s been paint corrected, PPF on bumper/full good/ full fenders/a pillars/In front of sunroof/door cups/rear bumper loading area, Gyeon Mohs Quartz coating topped with Gyeon CanCoat on paint and wheels, Gyeon CanCoat on all glass, Audi base carrier rack, mud flaps, window tint to match.

I like to do an early oil change and don’t know much about the car. Seems like it’s 0W-20. What brand has Audi partnered with for oil? Mobil? Castrol? What is the best oil for this car in your opinion?

Just as an example, Porsche recommends Mobil 1 0W40 for the 2019 Carrera 4 GTS. When performing a used oil analysis, this oil consistently testS out of spec for the upper viscosity. It tests out like a 30W. Porsche also has listed Mobil 1 5w50. The UOA on this oil is always in spec and in reduces valve lifter noise on start up when the car has not be driven for a while.

Am curious what brand you guys like. Thanks in advance.

So I was digging around a bit more and found and Audi Maintenance Schedule. For the 2020 A4 and A4 Allroad, it’s calling out 504 spec. 0w30 satisfies this.

You don't need to do an oil change until 1 year. No need to waste your money.

Factory fill is some brand, likely Fuchs or similar. Replacement used to be Castrol, now is Mobil. As long as it meets the 504 spec and is 0w30 or 5w30, you are fine.

Took delivery of the Allroad today. Here is the label under the hood.

Audi seems to be the only option for the 0W30 504 spec oil.

The parts guys at the dealership said the change to 0w30 for 504 spec cars is super new and to expect oil manufacturers to provide their own options in the near future.

Ill drain it once at about 1000 miles then follow the 1 year oil change intervals.

You can also use 5w30 vw504 spec oil. The car was homologated with 0w30, so if you use a 5w30, it could have an emissions/fuel economy difference.

Correct. Any compliant 504.00 oil is fully acceptable whether 0W30 or 5W30.

I've done Oil changes on my Q5 3.0T and used an Oil Extractor. Is the Turbo 4 TFS similar to the 3.0T with the Filter on top and Oil filler tube used to extract the oil?

Yes, all the EA888 are designed with that process in mind. No need to get under the car for an oil change.
