New A3
Hi everyone,
I finally took delivery of my A3 on Monday!
2007 Audi A3 2.0T, Red/Gray, DSG, Premium, Open Sky, Technology, Cold Weather
I ordered the car through The Collection in Miami, FL, received a great deal, and was treated well throughout the whole process. I highly recommend my sales person, Justin Bellinzoni.
I have about 270 miles on the car already, and I have no complaints. Honestly, I would have a hard time complaining about anything on this car since I just upgraded from my 1996 Dodge Neon. =0 I never thought power windows, locks, and a sunroof could be so exciting--oh yea, and cruise control, too! =D
Overall, I think the DSG is very smooth, and I have had no trouble with lurching as some others have reported. When I first drove it, it took a minute or two to learn how to modulate the accelerator without making the car jerky, but it didn't take that long, since I drive with a pretty light foot anyway.
There is a bit of road noise in the cabin from the tires (Conti ProContacts), but it's not that bad--keep in mind, this is coming from someone whose previous car had a ton of cabin/wind noise, so much that my passengers would always check to see if there window was up all the way.
Although I was a bit bummed about the 2008 Sport package coming out with the power seat, I'm glad I ordered the Premium package since the seats are very comfortable and look like they may not incur as much wear on the bolsters as those in the Sport package. Bluetooth and bi-xenons are great--I'm VERY glad I chose that package over the Bose upgrade!
Only mods so far are the clear bra, tint, Euro mats, and Sirius satellite...
Sorry for the not-so-great pics--I haven't really had time to take any in a better location.
