Default To A2 owners - what's your real world fuel consumption?

Feel free to report it in either mpg, miles per imperial gallon, liters/100km, etc for freeway, city, and mixed. Just curious how efficient your lovely cars are.

Default Well..

Since mine is a petrol version it's not as efficient as the 1.4TDI or 1.2TDI.

Our A2 averages about 7L/100km or 33.6 MPG.
That is with sporty, 50% city, driving.
Once during a long trip (90% highway) I averaged 6L/100km or 39MPG.
So not too bad

Cheers,
DJ

Default What kind of mileage do diesels get?

I would love to get 33-39 mpg. I have a 1.8T though.

Default The 1.2TDI can get 3L/100km or 79MPG, and the 1.4 TDI around 55 - 60MPG-ish.

However I've read tests of the 1.2TDI where they got 2.7L/100km or 85MPG.
Now that's what I call efficient!
So that's why I laugh at those stupid Hybrids... they are ugly and Japanese. The Germans have been making better alternatives since 1999.
Yes diesel fumes are more harmful for nature but since the new filters are available for all cars that can be neglected!
My A6 is also a diesel and gets around 33.6 MPG, which is not bad concerning it's weight.
The Peugeot's are also really efficient, the sport gets 40MPG and the Rallye (trackcar) gets 25MPG (on track).

Default Wow...that's phenomenal...are the figures represented as miles per imperial gallon..

or in mpg that we see stateside? Either way, wow. That is certainly a much better alternative to hybrids...which, frankly, cause plenty of harm to the environment (in the production of the batteries)
