Just got my sport wheel.. does the center just pop off? CvTech's probably the pro here
<center><img src="http://i22.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/b7/02/3588_1.JPG"></center><p>I don't wanna force anything. The more I carefully try to pop off the center by prying a knife underneath the grooves on the side, the more it looks like I'm gonna warp the leather and possibly break the center. Thoughts?
In the meantime, hopefully the horn mod won't be too difficult.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/326252.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/326252.phtml</a</li></ul>

Cool. I was going to post the same question. I just got mine from Audibits2 today. Ran home when I got the notice from DHL. Couldn't figure how to get the horn button off either....

Sounds like you have the horn button figured - I broke mine buy being ham fisted. I'd recommend
being a bit more careful with the cutout on the clock spring horn piece that is shown in CvTech's pictures. If there is much slop between the hub center and the cut piece it can fall off the spring loaded button in the steering column. The tighter the fit to the hub the better IMO.

the clock spring ring got screwed down eventually. Its tight as hell and works perfectly
maybe I'll go out and snap a few more additional pictures for dassub of my work around. Its a pice of cake though.

More on horn install/work around/modification...whatever you wanna call it.
My UrS4 wheel

This is the back of my wheel with installed clock spring ring from stock US airbag steering wheel. Notice I put a small flat head screw there to support the ring to the hub.

up close of ring connected thru hole where the spring activated pin should be. See like B3 and I guess euro cars, the ring like you see attached to my wheel was on the steering column not the wheel.

Clock spring ring off, yes you have to bore out the hole to make it fit over the hub center.
<img src="http://12vaudi.com/pictures/DSCF2357.jpg">
The spring loaded pin from the euro wheel has to come off, it may help to remove the hub by the four bolts here.

This is actually ALL you have to assemble. Consists of 1. Removing ring from old wheel 2. Bore out center or ring 3. Attach wire to brass connection and on the other end a spade connector to attach to inside of wheel.
<img src="http://12vaudi.com/pictures/DSCF2362.jpg">
Stock horn connection on column covers is left alone. If you don't bore the ring out too much it should like up perfectly.

Good luck. Its pretty easy and makes for a clean look and install. I've seen the "telephone cord" work around as well...but I think this is better and even better than trying to source and spending the money on column covers, plus most of the stuff you will have laying around anyway.
