Default voltage regulator for instrument cluster, any one here tried replacing it?

Problem is the temp and gas gage are do not work properly. I traced the IC board in the cluster and this is the only common factor I can find linking the two gages together. From a search I found this part number 171 919 803, does this sound familiar to anyone?

BTDT... part is a buck or two at the dealer and it fixes the dead temp/gas gauge problem
