Default Spal Fan Conversion done, installed, tested and working...

Last pic is of the waterproof harness and power plate hook-up as well as fans and shroud installed. I intentionally left 6" of leads installed under power side of harness split-loom sheathing and the female harness coming off fans so when I get the old battery compartment organized with all the oil filter, cooling, Accusump and remote filters I have some harness length to move the power-plate or relocate this wiring assembly by as much as 1 foot if necessary.

Like Alex said the AC button does indeed turn on both fans to low setting. Which is a great feature when I come into the pits after the road course as now I can cool the under-hood temps down quicker.

Fans do not work in any "one or the other sequence" but rather both come on simultaneously. And since I didnt change anything that must be the way they work in stock form. However the low/high speed feature is retained with this conversion. But now I can manually induce the low speed setting at any time with the AC button while high-speed duty is determined by the radiator temp switch.

Ok the funs over and now I gotta get serious about that ugly battery tray area mess. Was fun while it lasted.

Default Fans are dual Spal part # 30100360 10" "pull" fans...

I make no claims whatsoever about any other 10" fans as to merchantibility, suitability or fitness for this application. All manufacturers fans are different and ONLY the Spal fan was researched and developed for this conversion.

If it doesn't say Spal you can bet it wont function, perform or work in this application as described.

I've been thru this once before on 1.8T A4 fans and people wanting to save money or try X, Y or Z manufacturers fans then yell at me when they didnt fit, work or perform as advertised. If you want the best, specify Spal and nothing but Spal. If you want to save money spec the X, Y or Z company's fan and re-invent the wheel but dont blame me when/if it goes south in a banana boat.

Not accusing or pointing any fingers of accusation but been here before and covering my ***. And no two fans even if they're 10" will be alike or even similar. You pays your money and takes your chances.
