Spal Fan Conversion: Wiring and harness now complete...

I couldnt finish this yesterday due to some orders that came in. This morning I tidy'd up the wiring, added some split loom cable sheathing and zip-tied everything into place. Picked up a 4 wire waterproof trailer harness yesterday at Pep Boys ($5.99) and spliced it all in. This will allow same wiring that Audi did with the stock fan setup, as non-sensical as it is, ie: 1 separate power lead and ground to each fan (4 wire set-up) yet power and grounds attach to the same power terminal and ground bolt. Go figger!?!
I have the male part of this plug attached to the power/ground hook-ups in the power plate (+) and frame rail (-) under where the battery tray used to live so now anytime I want/need the fans out all I have to do is remove the 3 shroud retaining bolts across the top and separate the water-proof harness and I'm done... a 2-3 minute job!
One thing that puzzles me is how in the hell did Audi get these fans to run separately with a common power lead!?! Or did they? I never checked.
Would be nice if I can now adapt my AC button on my non climate control AC to retain it's little red light but instead of activating my AC have it turn the fans on instead. If it doesnt do it automatically after I get this installed I'll go back in in a few days (or weeks) and make it so.

I have had power and non-power HVAC without A/C before...
and the A/C or Auto button should make your fans kick on just like having the A/C on. The 80 had the **** style HVAC and I would just tap the A/C button to control the fans and the 90 has the old style autoclimate control, I just hit Auto and the fan comes on.
Cheers,
Cheers,
