It's alive...
The 90q20v turbo woke up this weekend for the first time in a few months. With crossed fingers the key was turned and she fired right up. With another day to button up the intake plumbing and idle circuit the true test of starting, idling, and driving came. Today she fired up, took in some water for cooling after a little coaxing, and went out for her maiden voyage as a turbo:

She ran well, a bit loud with only a downpipe, minor dribbles of oil and coolant from lines that need a little tightening. The unfortunate problem was the lack of full boost, looking at 7-8lbs at most when it should have pulled 14-16lbs with the IA Stg3 ECU. The intake plumbing was thoroughly sorted through, tightening, checked again, and nothing higher would come out of her. So a pressure check is in order at this point and I have a suspect feeling the intercooler may have a leak or two. Even at 7-8lbs she was as quick as the stock 200q20v Avant and can only imagine what 20+lbs will be like.

Just a segment of idling and a few throttle blips with just the downpipe installed.
I doubt I will have the car ready and safe to my standards by Waterfest, which is fine by me, the 200 will hopefully make a safer and comfier trip down to NJ.
Cheers!

Congrats Alex! Mine just croaked its first breath of life not 10 minutes ago!
It won't catch and idle, but it will catch for a second then die. I wasn't going to post until I got it to idle, but I am so excited right now and I saw your good news that I had to share.
It has been buttoned-up for a couple of weeks now, but we haven't been able to get it to do anything but crank. Tonight, I found an issue with the wiring and that did the trick! Hopefully more good news in the next day or so! Sheesh, it's probably just out of gas.
Congrats,
Jimmy
P.S. Downpipe? Pshaw. Mine is coming straight out of the turbo right now and Holy Crap does it sound evil!

That is what my engine did this weekend...
due to the fact I had no idle valve plumbed in. I primed the oil pump and fuel pump by cranking a few times, connected the ECU, and 1-2 cranks, caught, sputtered and died. So with assistance I controlled the throttle and had someone crank, held her at 2-3k rpm. So buttoned her up fully today, minus headlight and such, and went on with it. I am just hoping to solve the boost issue, man this thing is going to be a monster at 17psi, the exhaust note sure does get the guys at the next garage over going
Good Luck!
