What sucks though, is that after the first rain...it'll probably go rusty again!

Exactly. It is stainless steel too so it should last a while.

It is stainless steel under there, and the rust wasn't all that bad.

Is it 301, 304, or 310 stainless? If its "stainless", why does it rust? ;O)

Default All stainless steel will rust if exposed to the environment (i.e. salt, rocks, etc.) long enough.

Oh and exhaust heat too.
