Default Headunit pics

Finished installing my new headunit a couple of evenings ago. It's unbelievably nice to have:

A. The ability to play cds.
B. A headunit that actually *works.*

I wanted something that fit the interior design motif pretty well. That meant all black plastic, no shiny bits, round-ish buttons, and amber/red lighting. Here's how I made out:

Yes, the A/C switch is missing. Long story. Anybody got a spare?

A very blurry pic of it at night. It's close enough to the stock lighting scheme to work for me:

Both the display and the buttons have indepedently variable color settings, either green or amber. I considered changing the buttons to green in order to agree with the voltmeter and oil temp gauges down below, but it just doesn't look right.

Default You "may" be able to change the color of the display.

For my Explorer, I changed the deck to be more blue color (to match the interior lighs). I just unscrewed the face and there is usually just some kind of plastic filters that change the color. If you can see them and are removable, you can just either paint them using transparent Red paint (model paint works nice) or go to a crafts store and buy some red clear plastic to use in place of the factory stuff.

Pretty easy to do. And changes the look to match better with the overall look of the car.

What size tires do you have? Any lowering?

Default 205/50-15 Kumho Ecsta 711s. Not lowered yet...

But I'm planing on an Intrax/Koni combo, similar to ATMOS's setup.

Very pleased with the tires. Great-looking tread pattern, good grip, and long-wearing:

Default A little bit in the back left corner under hard cornering, yes, especially with a full tank.

I'm just chalking it up to old, sagging stock springs.
