Default Power Steering Lost- Serp Belt Off

On my way home from work, I lost my power steering. When I got home, I looked under the hood and there is a pulley that the serpentine belt runs on that completely broke off. I don't think it is the power steering pulley, but I can't figure out what it is for. The bearings obviously wore out and the thing fell off. It is a smaller sized pulley down and to the left of the larger pulley on top of the motor. It looks like it has a hose running to it, and it is now sitting at the bottom of the fan case. Picture shows the pulley lying there and you can see the chipped piece where it attached to originally just below the main pulley. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Default Re: Where are you located?

Thanks for your help 4Driver4. I was able to pull the top of the radiator back far enough to see what I was doing, and yes it was the tensioner. Bought a new one from the dealership ($119 plus the $45 belt) and it is all together and working now. I was ready to call the junk yard this morning because of this and all the other things wrong with the piece of crap car, but now at least I can get it back on the road. I am in Minneapolis, to answer your question. My next project will be the tie rods. The passenger side is very loose. I might try to sell the car to someone who can get it back into good mechanical condition. Things wrong with it are:
Tie Rods (actually it is the inner tie rod ball joint that is bad)
ABS Module
Hole in the windshield washer resevoir
Cracked windshield

Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Default those are all relatively simple fixes that won't require many special tools

you'll need torx bits for the ABS module. I use a couple different types to access the 6 mounting screws.

plan on doing the ABS module and washer reservoir at the same time because having the reservoir out makes R&R'ing the ABS module MUCH easier.

tie rod ends are easy. They're no different than any other car on the market.

pay someone to replace the windshield. It should cost $225 to $250.
