idle not stable at low rpm when not moving , and engine hestitates when accelerating
After doing number of things to address this problem, it came back again, I have replaced today with new MAF no change
aghhh.. don't know what else to replace, no engine codes, nothing showing when checked
with vag-com
When car comes to full warm up it's start to acting up. Mostly noticed during stop at the lights in Drive mode, engine RPM drops down (surging a lot) to point that engine wants to stall and then rpm comes back to normal and again the cycle starts in couple seconds.. engine hesitates when I accelerate from stop..
I have so far address
1. new spark plugs, I did check wires with ohmmeter and they were withing spec required
2. fuel filter
3. I have replace all visible rubber small hoses in engine bay as they were cracked and dried up to point when I touch it dis grated
4. I did with vagcom TBA (Throttle Body Alignment)
5. I have replaced new oxygen sensors, replaced new catalyic converters
6. replace suction pump
7. new MAF today
8. checked with ohmeter fuel injectors and they were within specs
what other things I should check,
fuel regulator, fuel pump,
it seems that there isn't much things you can do with VAG-COm to diagnose this problem,

update...
yesterday night I started looking for the problem, and connected the VAG-COM and turn the engine on with drive on mode, and start looking through different measure blocks while engine running , and I checked group 015, 016, this shows the misfires in each cylinder , and found cylinder 4 misfiring a lot, and it this is probably the cause , because every time it misfired engine rpm dropped from 720 to 640 rpm/min, today I will look closely at the cylinder 4 ,
the new spark plug
wire, distributor coil, and fuel injector
I am curious why engine wouldn't record this misfiring

my next update
well it turns out to be spark plug wire, possibly done some damage during the spark plug swap, engine runs smooth for now hopefully for longer period , I am hoping the ignition coil will be ok ..
