2.8 missing
i have a 2001 Audi a6 2.8 quattro and its missing real bad now as soon as i start it up. before it was just here and there and i thought it was because of my valve covers leaking but i replaced them and it did ok for a day and got bad. i tested the coils and plugs with ohm tester and they were all good and i have ac-delco plugs and gaped them all to .32 as i think they are suppose to be. but my codes were this even before the valve cover change so if any one has any ideas or has had this problem or can figure it out i would greatly appreciate it. plus the o2 readings i think are from my flex pipes being bad will replace them this weekend

You mention codes were this before VC change. Did you clear them in-between? Camshaft sensors, coils, & O2 sensors do go bad. Bank 1 & bank 2 use same camshaft sensor, so you could remove & switch them, to see if code follows the sensor. Could do similar swap with coils on cyl 1 & 6. Obviously not with each other, since they both could be bad, but switch 1-2 & 5-6. Clear codes & retest. If 2 & 5 now bad, change them.

Check, or have your lambda sensors (Oxygen ) checked. I had one reading a too lean mixture on the one bank, requesting the injectors to pump fuel, leading to over-fueling and misfiring.
