Hey all.. I've got a 2005 A6 3.2 Fsi Quattro.. Can anyone tell me if it has 2 coolant temp sensors.. I've changed the one just behind the fans and there is meant to be another at the back of the engine, but can't find it.. I'm looking for the 4 pin green sensor.. Black 2 pin has been changed

Hmm I thought those had a Grey 2 pin for the ECU and they got rid of the 4 pin Green sensor in 04. At least on 2.0T and TDIs of this year they did.

Thanks for your reply. The 2 pin sensor was black.. Part No 06A 919 501. The green 4 pin sensor is called the double temp sender 059 919 501. But I'm beginning to think it's not there.

I'm in the same spot with my 2008 A6 3.2. I purchased the green sensor from the Audi dealer. They even wanted my VIN, felt like radioshack wanting my zipcode! I've gone in the back of the engine twice but ran out of time (and patience) and had to put it back together.

Anyone know or have pics of the 3.2 rear engine area of the sensor location, please?? I'm down to watching youtube videos of chain replacements hoping to catch a glimpse of something! Many Thanks!

My car doesn't have the second sensor After a week of hunting for it.. The 4F2 engine seemingly doesn't need the second one.

I took everything off I could on the rear, the only thing back there is an oil pressure sensor and the 02 sensors. So out of frustration I bought the two pin front temp gauge, replaced it in 10 seconds, and no more 00769 - G82 errors.
