Oil Leaks-Clogged Suction Pump-Bad Turbo?????
OK, so after hours of reading the forums...I've determined that I'm not the only one with these problems! '02 A6 2.7T with 55k and leaking valve covers, cam adjuster seals etc. It looks like i've also got a plugged/frozen Suction Jet Pump thanks to the frigid temps etc. Everything has been happening at once. When doing the gaskets, took off driver's side turbo hose going to the intercooler and had quite a bit of oil in it, pass side dry. So, thought turbo was going bad. After reading about suction jet pumps, looks like maybe that was the reason the oil was being pumped in through the turbo. My BIG question really is this.....HOW DO I TELL when the turbo is BAD or about to go BAD? Is it safe to assume that once oil has been forced by the seals, it's about to go south and I should just replace it/them? Or should I fix all the pump/seal/gasket issues and see how long it goes before something explodes? I really don't want to drop the motor for the turbos if I don't have to, but it's my mother's car and I don't want to be unsafe. Please advise me. Thanks everyone.

Any new development after the post?
Do you have any success fixing the leaks?
Thank you,

If you were driving with a bad oil pump, would this affect the turbo in any way? Does the oil pump..
