Safe to drive with code P0238 (Turbo boost sensor A circuit high)?
2013 Q5 2.0 TFSI
Hit a deer last night on the driver's side, with some hood, fender, and door damage. The impact pushed the headlight assy into what I think is the turbo sensor:
I've straightened the pins and reattached the connector. Now experiencing weak performance and a check engine light. The code is P0238 - Turbo boost sensor A circuit high.
After some hesitation, the engine now starts and runs, but power is weak. When accelerating, I can hear a whine, without any additional power. Once up to speed, w/o giving too much gas, it does seem to run fine.
There doesn't appear to be any other damage to the engine, although it's possible a vacuum line or something may have broken loose where I can't see.
My dilemma is that I'm stuck about 8 hours away from the dealer and I'm not sure if driving it that distance will cause any other problems with the engine. I think if I take it easy, it should be fine, but thought I'd ask if anyone thought this would do any irreparable harm.

So, I am going to put this out there as I have also recently had this code on my 2015 Audi A6, 2.0T engine. The Web is not full of useful answers to this issue, so I am going to let you know what I did and what the issue was. I checked and replaced the Boost sensor, No Change, I checked and replaced the MAF sensor. No change. I removed every connector on that part of the wiring harness from the engine (5 in total lower left side) and pulled the harness clear so that I could inspect it. 5 of the wires had been eaten by the local rodents. It seems the engine splash guard and a warm engine is the best place for rodents to rest, plus for a little snack whilst they rest they like to munch on a very accessible wiring harness. On further inspection of this part, the harness has been repaired twice before. So before you spend hundreds of $ on new sensors inspect the wiring harness first. I hope this helps someone and saves them a ton of cash.
