P2015 2x; advice request
Hello all, I have a 2010 A3 2.0 that produced only a P2015 twice. It's been producing an abrupt hesitation upon acceleration, and then clears out. Then the problem worsened, the idle became extremely rough, and it hesitates up to about 4K, then almost clears out. But it's not practically drivable now.
So post a visual inspection that yield nothing I went to dealer to buy the runner sensor. They told me I needed to replace the whole manifold since the shaft breaks that the sensor connects to. That they have never sold that sensor alone for this car. (and by the way the sensor cost nearly as much as the whole intake with sensor, gaskets, and controller)
Post replacement of the manifold (and a hefty de-carbonizing off the intake ports/valves) I start the engine and it's doing the same exact thing, no improvement at all.
As a side note, during the procedure I replaced the oil separator, and new seals on the injector. I actually replaced the spark plugs the day before the problem worsened to it's currant condition, and no I didn't crack them. I also pulled them out during the manifold replacement, and they look fine, but I suppose one could be bad, but I'm skeptical.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
Mike

So theres the diaphragm that pulls the flap. Theres the vacuum hose to the diaphragm, and the solenoid controlling it, and its vacuum source. have you check all of these.

UPDATE: I ran the codes and the 2015 cleared out, but I have new codes; P304,301,300 Which are cylinder misfire codes.
300 is random multiple cylinders, and 304 is #4 cylinder, and 301 is #1 cylinder.
In doing a search this comes up as a clogged or bad fuel injector, or the lead connection in the wiring, or bad spark plugs. Which makes me question if I left something disconnected or there are two clogged injectors. I replaced the plugs today so thats not it.
There was some carbon on the nozzles that I cleaned off, but the holes looked clear upon install. Also, on the harness thing I can't imagine what I could have left disconnected beyond the individual injector lead, and allow the engine to run. It runs, but there is obviously attest one dead cylinder, and or two half firing.
Any thoughts?
