Default Sounds like you lost a coil pack

Very simple and inexpensive fix. Coil pack attaches to the spark plug and has the coil built in. 4 cyl. 4 coil packs. They cost about $25 and can be replaced by anyone in mins.
Figure out which coil pack is bad and replace.
If you have any questions, email me at jwj500@earthlink.net

I purchased new coil pack from Audi stealership ($150)and nothing. I swapped the old one (should have done this 1st)into a cylinder that was working and the coil pack works fine. Any suggestions???

if it is an AEB engine, I would say that the ICM is fried.

Default sounds like valvetrain noise, do NOT drive it, could be the cam tensioner is failing NOW

that or lack of oil to the head, when's the last time you changed your oil you could have some serious sludge issues or a timing belt could of jumped.
