The very first prototype recovery sleeve in this pic sitting atop the newer HVRS's on right in pic. Bear in mind that is a "2-part" recovery sleeve using a 3" I.D. thin-wall inner piece of tubing with a thicker mid-section machined from a separate 4" diameter "puck" of aluminum rod then pressed on with a light slip-fit and held in place with LocTite 680 sleeve retaining compound and the hose barbs.
Straight hose barbs and overall kinda funky. But it led to whats being delivered today. I believe there were 3 more revisions before I got to the last revision recovery sleeve and later the latest/greatest "HVRS" of today.
So unless the thought of a FlowTube which in a year will likely look as antiquated/barbaric as that prototype recovery sleeve sitting atop those other HVRS's in the pic above ya might wanna take a little bit of a "wait-n-see" approach before jumping on the FlowTube concept as it exists today.

hey mance, where do you pick up your 45* barb fittings?
I need to pick up a 45* 3/4" barb fitting for my 4000 project (making a blow-by recovery of my own) and am striking out finding one. McMaster-Carr has them in 5/8" (which I might go to if I have to), but I'm striking out locally... mind sharing that tid bit?

I've never seen 45/90 barbs as large as 3/4 either on the NPT or barb end...
I've seen straights go that large but never any elbows. Angled barbs top out at 5/8"
You "might" be able to get there with a 3/4" NPT female adapter and a 3/4" NPT barbed straight but I doubt it. Problem is you're into "garden hose" sizes and that opens a whole 'nother can of worms.

hmmm, i'll have to look into that... suggested retailer?
i wish i could find this stuff locally cuz I'm gonna get smoked on shipping. I was even looking into regular gas line stuff, but there wasn't much of a selection at my local hardware store. Might hit up the depot this weekend and see what I can find as well.

I can't recommend a retailer for something that isn't made... tho if 5/8" is acceptable McMaster...
is the way to go. And they charge "actual" shipping prices. And it's not hard to find at least 2-3 other things you'll need there to help justify shipping. Like titanium hose clamps? ;-)I get all my stuff thru a local hydraulic supplier who orders quantities for me. But not in the large sizes you're seeking.

you're both a coward AND a moron! Not a gram of "billet" used in ANY of this
and speaking of me not having anything better to do, what about you!?! It's MY "time and resources" to do with as I please, and I so hope it displeases your socks off which apparently it does to no end and that pleases my socks off! Least I'm doing something that doesnt require hiding behind a pseudonym, afraid to show my face while spewing impudent/sophomoric criticism of others.
