MAF write-up for part number ending in 'A'
Who's got some information on how to properly mod this MAF? I've searched a lot but found many inconsistencies between posts and nothing specific to the 'A' part that I can remember.
Do I take the sampling tube all the way out or leave it partially in?
Also do I need to use an o-ring?
Thanks.

Sampling tube comes all the way out.
Screen comes out.
You need an o-ring, what size I do not know.
Here are various pics of Mance's work on my SXTB:

MAF calibration via O-ring
I remember Mance used O-rings with 11 mm O.D, which made for a snug fit in the MAF sensor inlet opening.
Get a bunch of metric O-rings with different cross section thickness, for example 7 mm x 2 mm (O.D.=11 mm) and try out what works best. Don't forget to clear any lean or rich codes between experiments (And never ever go way too lean!).
Installing another O-ring in the post MAF sensor wire opening may let you calibrate your MAF sensor further.

Get at least 3 sizes
All with 11 mm outside diameter, but various inside diameters. I'm not sure if you can find metric O-rings at The Home Despot, but they do have some small O-rings.
