S3 MAF - o-ring or not?

Default Although, I might be wrong on the whole purpose of the o-ring to begin with! Sorry if the above ^..

Default MAF 301!

I know from the Taurus SHO community there's tunings for different injectors. Lets say you get a MAF for your SHO that is calibrated for 24lb/hr mustang injectors. Since the SHOs are the same as a 5.0 mustang (19lb/hr) you'll run rich.

I'll have to do a little trial and error.

Default I completely misunderstood the purpose of the o-ring:...

This is from a post above about Mance's all aluminum intake. This is how he described the purpose of the o-ring in the MAF.

Default gave it 150 miles - 15mpg :(

Guess I was running rich. I usually can get 18-19 mpg under the same driving characteristics. Needless to say I removed the o-ring and will see what that does.

Default Its up to you, but try unhooking your negative terminal for 10 mins to reset your battery, that way

your computer will relearn with the o-ring out.

Default did that before installing the MAF

However - upon taking out the o-ring my mileage is back to correct levels.
