Default Handful of codes thrown, although car is running fine..

Ok here is the list

p0102 & p0103 mass or volume air flow circuit high AND low input
MAF sensor either needs cleaned or replaced I am guessing.

p1409 - EVAP canister purge valve electrical malfunction
p1408 - EGR temp sensor signal too high
p0401 - EGR flow insufficient detected

P1509 - IAC circuit electrical malfunction

p0150 O2 sensor Bank 2 sens1,
p0156 O2 sensor bank 2 sens 2, and
p0158 O2 sensor bank 2 sens 2 high voltage

P1201-p1206 fuel injector circuit malfunction on all injectors

it also throws the code p0734 for gear 4 incorrect ratio, I don't know why it seems to shift just fine... maybe low fluid or something?

phew that was lengthy. now I am wondering if someone with more experience can maybe help point me in a direction. I don't have the repair manual yet (really want to get one) but the car does run pretty good, it doesn't cut out or anything I think it idles a little bit high but it runs and drives smooth. I was going to clean the MAF and inspect some more of the intake (grabbed a couple gaskets) then reset the codes and drive it see what happens.. ANY and ALL information and advice is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!

by how you read the codes, your car is OBD-2... other then that... what car are we talking about?

try cleaning the MAF, but most likely its time to replace it. also check for vacuum leaks and/or broken or lose hoses.

EGR... what i would recommend is to take off the intake manifold and clean it out, your EGR passage is clogged and that's why you are getting those codes, your intake manifold is most likely baked in oil and carbon, so i would get the gaskets, disassemble it, clean it out (pinosol and hot water works well)

O2 sensors are self explanatory, just replace them

Oh yeah it is a 1996 A6 quattro with 4 speed automatic transmission. I just cleaned the IAC valve and put a new gasket on the EGR .

You think I should clean it out though huh? I assume you mean the metal pipe that it screws on top of?

Is there a gasket for the IAC? I didn't notice one when i pulled it off.

mmmk so I probably need 2 O2 sensors for bank 2, is that the ones up top closer to the exhaust manifolds?

Now after messing with the IAC valve and replacing the EGR gasket I drove to the gas station with the code reader deleted all of the codes and kept driving, and they all completely disappeared !!!! I scanned a few times after that on the way home and no more popped up at least not on the way home.....

Maybe (Hopefully) they were old and left on there from previous repairs?

god that would be the most awesome thing that could possibly ever happen...

lets hope thats it
but on the intake, i meant actually taking the whole intake apart (its 2 parts)
where the egr connects to the intake, there is a passage in the intake that needs to be cleared out

For sure well that will be next. Definitely cannot hurt to clean that out either way. I am going to drive it around a little longer to see if any codes get thrown back out.

Well I replaced the o2 sensor(with some effort I might add), as well as did the egr mod, and drove it around today after erasing the CEL light. Annnnnnd the light has not come on all day through highway driving and city stop and go it seems to be happy!! definitely loving this car

Now I need to get a shock/strut replacement kit to smooth things out a bit.
AND fix the sunroof, horn and brights as they all do not work right now and I am not sure about the radio as it has been disconnected since before I bought it (??Possibly the ignition switch??)
