hey guys, i need some advice or help, ive had this problem for a few months or more. I have a noise that comes from my engine when i rev the engine and let go off the gas, or when im driving and im above around 25-30 MPH and let go of the gas. The only way i can describe the noise is it kind of sounds like something is spinning? but has a clicking noise to it. Ive asked a mechanic what he thaught it was and he said catalyst converter, anyone else have this happen? and how much does it cost to get fixed, thanks.

is it a clattering noise? how many miles on the car? cam shaft adjusters are a common issue on 1.8t's. try putting your ear towards the back of the engine. If its the aduster you'll hear the noise from this area.
