Misfire on idle and no power
Please help I have a 2004 1.8t a4 convertible which was running fine until a couple of days ago the ecs light came on all was still ok then it started to misfire and have no power I have changed the crank case breather valve which was faulty the disc was perished but no effect i have just ordered a pcv valve from audi hoping this will solve problem as the ecs light is now flashing !
Oh one more thing before the problem even started when I was sat stationery in traffic and engine was idling I could smell fumes now I can't ? Must be related somehow

I had a problem like that before on my B6, try replacing your ignition coils and spark plugs. Also check if you have any burnt fuses.
If not, your ignition coil wiring harness may be burnt right next to the housing. Your dealership should have a repair kit available if not they can get it for you.
