Over the past couple of weeks, I've had the following intermittent events:
-hard starting (cranks find, but doesn't fire). some correlation with filling the gas tank.
-occasionally the rpms will shoot up a couple thousands rpms, momentarily, will drop back down. At idle or in neutral.
-CEL came on once, stay on for a couple starts, then went away.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

i've seen tons of cases where the ect will short out to -40'c. This can cause a hard start condition just a thought. I'm sure the ect has been replaced in the past but the new updated style is green. I'd check the fault first and foremost.
